Katelijn received the price Alex de Vries - Tolkowski.
She studied at the Lemmensinstituut in Leuven and the conservatory of Antwerp where she received her Masters Degree in cello and teachers degree.
Her teachers : Jan Willekens, Roel Dieltiens, Hans Mannes, workshop with Anner Bijlsma.
She played for ensembles, theaters, and orchestras such as The Royal Philharmonie orchestra of Flanders, The Beethovenacademie, Marsyas, the Arca theater, Zuiderpershuis, Ars Longa Stringquartet, Elexir d'Anvers, Belcantofestival in Dordrecht,....
Katelijn is also a teacher at the music academies of Ekeren, Merksem and Sint- Job- in 't Goor. She organizes, also with other cellists, Palladio, a festival for cello in the Singel on 28 november 2004.
She also composes for Boenox.
